Wadlin Lake Campground
Fort Vermilion / Hwy 88 South Area
Wadlin Lake is a natural lake that is home to a protected pelican nesting site. Northern Pike and Pickerel inhabit the lake, making it a popular fishing trip spot year round. The ideal destination for a rustic vacation either tenting or in your RV, Wadlin Lake has the perfect combination of both open and wooded sites with your choice of group spots or individual sites.

Machesis Lake Equestrian Camp
Rocky Lane Area
The first of its kind in northern Alberta, this facility, located within the boundaries of the Machesis Lake Campground, has access to miles of cut-lines and old wagon trails winding through the sand hills. Beautiful forests, peaceful small lakes, breathtaking views of the Peace River allow wildlife to be enjoyed in its natural habitat. Sandy trails are excellent footing for horses; shoeing your horse is unnecessary. The camp has 8 sites, pens, hitching posts, manure bins, fire pits, and picnic tables.

Machesis Lake Campground
Rocky Lane Area
With its beautiful remote location surrounded by Jack Pines, Spruce, and Poplar, Machesis Lake Campground makes a perfect get-away destination for all campers and nature lovers. The staff at Machesis are on site, seasonal caretakers that ensure your stay is clean and quiet.
The two docks on the lake make a great place to throw in a line or just sit and enjoy the view.

Located on the northern outskirts of La Crete, Elmwood RV Park is conveniently situated close to the La Crete Baseball Diamonds and walking trails. La Crete Area
In the Tompkins Landing Area, South of La Crete, nestled along the east bank of the Peace River you will find a historical logging site transformed into a well maintained campground. The Campground is located next to the Ferry Landing. With beautiful views and access to the Peace River, it is the perfect spot for a getaway, family get-together, day out on the water, or an afternoon picnic.

Hutch Lake Campground
High Level Area
Just north of High Level, in the shadow of Watt Mountain, lies the beautiful man-made Hutch Lake. The surrounding area is complete with trails for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter, or hiking and quadding in the summer. Our large day use area so close to High Level makes Hutch Lake a great spot for day trips. It is just off the pavement, clean, well maintained, and all around a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.

Aspen Ridge Campground
High Level Area
Aspen Ridge Campground is located just 3 km south of High Level on Highway 35. We offer full-service, semi-service, and tent sites with plenty of trees surrounding each site. Our large group use area is suitable for family or company events. We are pet friendly and open from May to October. Truck parking is available as well as year-round RV storage. Come relax and enjoy the fresh air and stay connected with our free WiFi.

Rainbow Lake Provincial Campground
Rainbow Lake Area
Rainbow Lake Provincial Campground is located 38 kilometres southwest of town. Our campground is run by a committee of volunteers and is solely funded by donations and a small seasonal or nightly fee. It boasts a beautiful sandy beach with an enclosed swimming dock. Our boat launch and dock are easily accessible and available for public use. Our children’s park and horseshoe pit is ideally located in the center of the campground. The tranquility of the lake and superb fishing make this an ideal getaway spot for locals and travelers alike.

Shady Acres Hotel and Campground is conveniently located right in the Town of Rainbow Lake. It sports well-maintained, fully serviced sites perfect for RVs of any size. When all of the 14 lots in the main campground are full, we can accommodate up to 6 units in the overflow area. We also offer a washroom/shower/tub open for those in tents or without running water in their campers. Additionally, we have four 700 sq. ft trailer homes available for rent.
